For this reason, you may want to make sure that your website has plenty of this, and pay special attention to the following:
  • Title: Make sure the title of your website matches the contents and includes a keyword of what there’s to be found.
  • Description: If you include a brief abstract as a meta tag, this will appear as a subtitle when your website is listed on a search engine like Google.
  • Relevance of the content: It is important to make sure that the words appearing in the title and meta tags are found in the website too. Search engines penalize websites that use lists of words to attract traffic and thus try to rank higher on search engines.
  • URL: Try to be as clear as possible in the URL. It is important that it matches the contents of the page, which will make the site stronger and improve its position in search engines rankings.
  • Images: Tag images or videos adequately. For instance, if you have a picture of a flower, don’t name it “pic1″, name it “flower” instead. Also, remember to include the name in the tags “title” and “alt”.
  • Outgoing links: External links generate confidence among web users, so try to include relevant external links in your website.
  • Sitemap: Always include a file called sitemap.xml. This will make it easier for your website to be listed on search engines.

Indexability: This refers to how accessible a website is, which is essential when it comes to search engines to analize it in order to show it on their ranking. Meta tags are especially important here, as they are descriptions of the contents that are not displayed on the website, but which search engines can read and which helps them understand your website.

Link popularity: The most important SEO technique, at least according to Google. Link popularity determines page rank on search engines, and it basically refers to the number of external links pointing to your website. The more links, the more reliability your website shows, therefore the better you will rank on Google and other search engines.

Social media friendly: Interaction is essential, and social media provide the perfect field for interaction with your website users. Using social networks you can communicate and promote and advertise your business, creating an awareness for your website.
