Men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Since childhood, we’ve known that. Males and females use their smartphones way too differently. What about social media? The battle of sexes keeps going!
FinancesOnline.com. reports that Online activity happens in every aspect of life, even more within social media, that 27% of men are using mostly for business and 13% for dating compared to 22% and 7% respectively of women.
Ladies are more likely to use these platforms for entertainment, relationships, sharing, and self-help.
Let´s see what happens with our lovely Facebook: 54% of females view photos and videos compared to 39% of males, 50% share with multiple people compared to 42% of men.
43% of ladies like viewing entertainment or funny posts compared to 35% of men.
Men prefer access to deals information (56% of them scan coupons or QR codes) while women prefer a social media encounter with brands (71% follow a brand for deals). Ladies are also less likely to be interested in paid digital adevrtising (48% ignore social media ads and 59% ignore mobile text ads).
This might come as a surprise because I was really surprised, that stirs up all the stereotypes! But let´s admit, 38% are girlie gamers, as opposed to just 28% of males.

But still there are some aspects of social media on which both genders agree: jokes and celebrity endorsements (not that bad, right?).
Women are much more likely to do these in their smartphones than men!
